Secondary One Posting Exercise
The S1 Posting Exercise is an annual exercise conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to post Primary 6 pupils, who have passed their Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE), to a secondary school based on their PSLE results and their school choices and the vacancies available in the school. This exercise is conducted from late November to December annually.
For 2008 S1 Posting Exercise, all eligible Primary Six pupils have already submitted their secondary school options during the school selection period between 20 and 26 Nov 2008.
The Secondary One (S1) posting results will be released on 18 Dec 2008 at 9am. This year, parents will be able to receive the posting results through an additional channel, via Short Messaging System (SMS) text messaging, if they have provided a local mobile phone number during the submission of their child’s school choices.
Parents and pupils will be able to check the S1 posting results via any of the following channels:
- S1 Internet System (The system is only accessible for viewing of posting results from 9am on 18 Dec 2008 until 11pm on 31 Dec 2008)
- Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) (Tel: 6691-2066)
- SMS via applicant’s mobile number (if provided by applicants during submission of school choices)
- Going to the child’s primary school.
Pupils are to report to the secondary schools that they have been posted to on 19 Dec 2008 at 8.30am.
